A lot of attention has been paid to the distribution of income, but what about Britain’s far more unequally spread wealth? From being able to get on the housing ladder only if you have home-owning parents, to the concentration of great wealth right at the very top and big shifts between the generations, the gaps between rich and poor in Britain are chasms that shape our country in a host of ways.
